Integrating Harmony Into Client Relationships

Do you believe that harmony is feasible to maintain during a work project or business transaction? I do. As a small-business owner in the toddler years of company life, I must say that I have never regretted customizing my Simplified client contract to include a “Harmony Clause” to which both myself and my client must adhere during any given project.

I pride myself and my business on a cohesive implementation of harmony, emotional intelligence, accountability and respect. This is a culture of doing business that I insist on cultivating with each of my amazing clients. I ensure to set the expectation at the very beginning my including this clause into every contract with my Simplified clients.

This clause acts as both a promise and protection for both business owner and client. Achieving harmony in business can mean the difference between happy, productive and fulfilled days versus simply going through the motions uninspired. This is inordinately true for small business owners who often wear many hats as they juggle day-to-day obligations, as well as overall strategy and random figurative fires. When harmony is out of tune, it can impact the business and yourself. I encourage you to vocalize your professional boundaries with clients – it sets the stage for a more harmonious work relationship.

To give real service you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity.
